     Aany of you may have noticed that Alethius and Lenaria’s alliance was broken – not by a decision from the nations themselves, but from a game mechanic which identified Alethius as the “lead nation.” Here’s a little information about this system for those of you who are wondering!
     Purpose: To provide more balance to the game’s nation vs. nation warfare by preventing the most powerful nation from allying with other nations.
     Timeframe: The lead nation is automatically calculated by the game engine itself every Saturday. If there is a lead nation, that nation will be unable to form an alliance until such time as it is no longer the lead nation, and any alliance it is in when it is determined to be the lead nation is broken.
How It’s Determined: The lead nation is calculated based on several factors, including treasury size, relics, and others. This is an automatic calculation performed by the game, and is not under the control of the GMs.
     Any Buffs? Unlike the Underdog Nation system, the Lead Nation system does not come with any benefits to the nation it directly affects. There is no “reward” to the lead nation for becoming the lead nation.
     Is There One Every Week? Not necessarily. If there is no clear leader as determined by the game’s calculations, there won’t be a lead nation for that week. All nations will then be free to have an ally.
