So in order to be sure if F2P will work for LOTRO.They first experimented with Dungeon and Dragons and made it F2P. And it was a huge success and Turbine was able to make some revenues out of it rather than closing it. Now reports are coming out that Turbine has doubled its revenue gains From LOTRO F2P. This success story has once again proved that there is always rooms open for a new MMO to make its mark in the competitive market of today. Now I will give you some insight about what the game is about. How its gameplay and graphics work and in the end I will give the pros and cons of playing the game. Also see that this review is based on LOTRO US version. Things might be different on European side.
GRAPHICS: (9/10)
     The graphics are pretty awesome but there is a catch. You need to have either a DX 10 enabled video card or if you can afford one buy a DX 11 enabled video card. i have a DX 11 enabled card and windows 7. And boy the graphics looks awesome. If your character is in an area which has snow in its terrain. Than you can actually see the white steam color breathe of your character which shows how much the developers have worked to make the game as close to the reality. If you are running around in a cave you can actually very visibly see your image on a stone.
